Time flies that’s for sure. My little Jenna bean would have been 8 years old today, crazy! She’d be like a grown up, kind of hehe. What grade are kids in when they’re 8? 3rd? I remember my 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Newell. I didn’t like her very much. But she did introduce us to Otherwise Known as Sheila the Great which ended up being one of my favorite books as a kid, so for that I thank you, Mrs. Newell.
I actually feel surprisingly ok right now. I had a good cry about Jenna a couple of months back, so maybe that’s held me over a bit so today isn’t as hard as usual. I will definitely say time helps lessen the day to day sadness, but when it hits it still hits like the day it happened. I guess that’s how it will be until well, forever, and I’m actually ok with that because I think it’s important for me to remember her and just acknowledge her existence here in this world even if it was for a short time. She meant the world to me and I think it’s ridiculous when people tell me to “move on” and crap like that. Move on from what? I’m not sitting here crying everyday about it, but if there is a day I do what’s the big deal? She was an important part of my life, and I had planned on her still having been here now, so of COURSE there are days when I feel that emptiness and would give my left arm to have her here.
Like I said, most of all I like to take her birthday to acknowledge her having been here on this earth with me. She came and she went way too fast for my liking, but I’m grateful to her for how she made me feel (even literally when she’d kick me, trippy feeling!) and the immense love I already felt for her without even having been formally introduced. I’ll be grateful for her everyday and will always send my love out to her energy in the universe and hope it finds her.
I wish I knew Jenna, I can't even imagine how much I'd love her. I'll be thinking of her today, lovely.

Oh Aurora, this is beautiful. I think it is very important for you to celebrate her because she is a very special person in your life and she is a huge part of what makes you the person you are, which is a lovely, strong, and awesome woman. And if you tell me who the people are who tell you that you need to move on or give you grief for the way you feel, I will seriously kick them in the groin for you because that is probably the most insenitive and hurtful thing to tell a person. But this day is about love, so I will do the groin kicking some other day and just think about your Jenna and you today with warm thoughts.

Words could never express how deeply you must feel, I am so sorry for your loss, Please don't let anyone ever tell you to "get over it" losing a child must be one of them most unimaginably painful experiences.
