I love Olympic time! There’s something about the entire world coming together, each person in their delegation so eager to be able to step up on that podium to hear their country’s national anthem played, and their supporters back home just swelling with national pride. Almost brings a little tear to my eye!
While I don’t enjoy the winter Olympics as much as the summer, I do look forward to a good speed skating, figure skating, or ice dancing event, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies. And my favorite things to watch are the medal ceremonies, for the reasons I mentioned above. 🙂
I’m excited to see the opening ceremonies tonight, very curious to see how the Canadians do it up! I have to say though, they’ve got a ridiculously tough act to follow. The opening ceremony for the Beijing Olympics 2 years ago was AMAZING. I had goosebumps, was just in total awe and I think it was the best program ever put together for the Olympics!
