Have you ever watched a movie and it was so awful that you end up being pissed at it for wasting 2 hours of your life? Yeah that was Rachel Getting Married for me. I haven’t seen a movie that was that awful in SO long. Where’s my spoon?!
I’m doing my long and boring classroom spring cleanings, so I flip on some movies to watch/listen to on my iPod whilst I work. Yesterday’s flick was The Reader, which was AMAZING I’m so glad I finally got to see it and I was crying all over the keyboard in one of my classrooms! Today’s SUCKTASTIC flick was Rachel Getting Married and while Ann Hathaway DID do a great job I just couldn’t stand listening to her character, a whiny pissed at the world recently released from drug rehab loon who feels the entire world revolves around her. Yeesh.
I still want to go see Avatar, so here’s hoping it’s not REALLY as bad of a story as people are saying it is!

Colin and i made it 1/4 way through the movie –it was awful!!
Avatar’s not terrible. The story is recycled (pretty much the same plot as Fern Gully) but it is still worth watching.
YAY Sandra you feel my pain!! 🙂 I should have just stopped 1/4 of the way too, I just figured well it’s GOT to get better right? WRONG!

It really is pretty impressive. And while the story is pretty generic, it isn’t insulting or anything. It manages not to take away from how awesome the film looks.
